Workshop on

Connecting All Things for Enabling Smart Cities (CONTEST)

26th September 2022

CONTEST Workshop was organised by this project to showcase the project objectives and recent achievements whilst engaging with relevant stakeholders. It was held in conjunction with the international  conference VTC-Fall 2022 and all relevant information is published via its dedicated website.

This Workshop was held online/virtually and provided an excellent platform for researchers to exchange ideas and establish new research initiatives with relevant stakeholders. Eight presentations were given in the Workshop:

  1. “Welcome and Project Introduction” (by Prof. Hongjian SUN, Durham University)

  2. “3-D Placement Strategy for VLC Enabled UAV Network with Guaranteed QoS” (by Ankana Das, Indian Institute of Technology)

  3. “Deep Reinforcement Learning for Over-the-Air Federated Learning in SWIPT-Enabled IoT Networks” (by Xinran Zhang, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications)

  4. “Model Prediction Control Path Tracking Algorithm Based on Adaptive Stanley” (by Qiang Hua, Shenzhen Technology University)

  5. “Digital Twins for Smart Cities: Case Study and Visualisation via Mixed Reality” (by William Piper, Durham University)

  6. “Research on Energy Consumption Model of Campus Micro-cycle Bus System” (by Ouwen Zhang, Shenzhen Technology University)

  7. “Routing based on Overcommitment Approach in Stochastic Time-Varying Networks” (by Fei Liu, University of Xidian)

  8. “Cloud game computing offload based on Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning” (by Kaicong Tian, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications).
